Catherine Tate and David Tennant

Since proving to be a popular duo on Doctor Who, Catherine Tate and David Tennant have reunited on stage and screen since then, but rarely to this level. They'll star in a new comedy drama for Sky called Americons.

Not much is known about the story, though it will apparently follow the pair as they move to the States. Which makes sense, given the title, which also includes the word "cons" so perhaps they're pulling a grift?

The show comes from former BBC drama controller Jane Tranter and ex-Who producer Julie Gardner's Bad Wolf company, but there are no details on writers or directors yet, since it's still in development.

Tennant is the villain in Bad Samaritan, which finally makes its way over to the UK in August, and they've both contributed voices to the new version of Disney's DuckTales cartoon series.
