After breaking big playing Shuri in Black Panther (and stealing one or two scenes in Avengers: Infinity War), Letitia Wright has been an actor in demand. And she's now landed another fun role, joining the cast that Kenneth Branagh is building for his next Agatha Christie adaptation, Death On The Nile.

Branagh, who is also directing the film again, is repeating the trick of 2018's Murder On The Orient Express, playing the mustachioed detective and surrounding his character with a starry selection of suspects. With Michael Green back on script duty, the story this time sees Poirot investigating a murder during a luxurious cruise on the Nile River that he just happens to be on. But just as he identifies a motley collection of would-be killers, several of the suspects also meet their demise, which only deepens the mystery.

Wright will play Rosalie Otterbourne, a lead suspect in the story, joining Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Tom Bateman and Jodie Comer. Branagh is scheduled to have the cameras rolling in September and the film should be in cinemas on 2 October next year.

Though Shuri was among the (offscreen) dusted at the end of Infinity War, she's listed in the cast for Endgame, due on 25 April. And it would be madness to waste such a superb character on one film and a couple of fleeting performances elsewhere. With Black Panther 2 in the works, expect her to return sooner rather than later. Wright is also part of the cast for Donald Glover's Amazon short film Guava Island, now on Amazon Video.
