“As a 5’5” 115 lb SAG-AFTRA actor, I’m thrilled to be able to pay homage to the casting community by hosting the 2018 Artios Awards this year in Los Angeles… where I’m based, but am also willing to work as a local hire domestically and internationally,” said Notaro. “Casting directors are an integral part of the creative process. They help bring our stories to life. As someone who is willing to cut their hair and has a current passport, I invite you in celebrating the wonderful and brilliant world of casting.
The One Mississippi actress added, “Also, Please contact Dar Rollins at ICM with all offers.”
It is appropriate that Kidman presents the Lynn Stalmaster Award for Career Achievement to Huvane as she recently celebrated 25 years with the powerhouse agent. She credits Huvane for his expert navigation of her iconic career which includes the HBO drama Big Little Lies for which she won an Emmy as well as recent films The Killing of a Sacred Deer and The Beguiled.
Presented annually, the Artios Awards are given to CSA members using the criteria of originality, creativity, and contribution of casting to the overall quality of a project. Named for the Greek word meaning “perfectly fitted,” the Artios Awards were first given in 1985 to honor excellence in casting and the ceremony was held at the Crystal Room of the Beverly Hills Hotel, with 500 industry leaders in attendance. The New York awards were first given in 1988.
